WHAT: The New York City Rocky Horror Convention 7/23-7/25/2004

New York, NY February 21, 2004--Grab your rice, toast, toilet paper and don’t forget your fishnets - those Rocky Horror fanatics are coming to town! The New York City Rocky Horror Convention on July 23rd- 25th, 2004 in New York City, NY is attended by Rocky Horror aficionados locally and nationally. Organized by two local midnight screening casts. Featuring special guests from the film and the play.
Celebrating the thirty years since the filming of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a fan-run convention in Manhattan has been scheduled for July 23- 25, 2004. Titled "The Transylvanians Take Manhattan", the convention will feature a variety of events for Rocky Horror fans both moderate and fanatical. Special Guests from the film and the play will be featured as part of the festivities. A midnight screening of the cult favorite is also scheduled at the Ziegfeld Theatre.
The convention is to be hosted at the Park Central NY, 870 Seventh Avenue at 56th Street. Tickets are available in advance through the mail and over the internet. Tickets purchased in advance are $50 for the entire weekend. Tickets purchased at the door are $20 for Friday evening’s events – including a screening of the rarely seen sequel movie Shock Treatment, $25 for Saturday afternoon’s events – including special guest speakers and memorabilia auctions, and $11 for the midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
